Summer Fun is HERE!
Get outdoors and discover a world of exciting travel programs in the U.S. and abroad, as featured in our new 2015 Summer Escapes & Specials travel brochure.
The brochure features a number of excellent discoveries for summer, announcing some newly opened departures for popular trips to Nebraska, Oregon and Colorado. It also spotlights some tours that are especially popular but will nonethless be going on hiatus and NOT running in 2016 -- including Global Getaways to Germany, Switzerland and Austria and Iceland (with Greenland Extension), as well as favorite tours of Niagara Falls & Western New York and eastern Iowa.
Using our Travel More, Save More escalating discount program, travelers can save $200.00 to $400.00 per couple, and can even combine these with our Refer-a-Friend bonus on new customer referrals to save even more.

EXPIRES SOON: Journey to the Last Frontier...for Less!
Country Travel DISCOVERIES is pleased to announce that we have been able to extend our special early-bird pricing deal on the remaining departures for Alaska & the Yukon this summer. Book now to SAVE $400.00 per couple ($200.00 per person) when making a reservation by March 31. Best of all: This offer may be combined with other promotions!
As our long-time customers know, Country Travel DISCOVERIES has always emphasized off-the-beaten-path routes and harder-to-find attractions on our tours. Our tour coordinators generally try to avoid common tourist attractions, monuments and museums that travelers could easily visit on their own. That said, we have also enjoyed investigating and introducing our guests to a number of distinctive museums in smaller, out of the way towns across America. So, we were pleased to see some of our favorite stops from past and current tours on Fodor's list of "15 Best Small-Town Museums in the U.S.", released this week.
The majestic blue Danube—no other river in the world flows through as many countries. And now, I want to personally invite you to join my wife Lori and me on Magical Danube & Prague (Sep. 12-23, 2015), a very special land tour and river cruise chartered exclusively for CTD travelers. By land and by ship, we'll discover four capital cities in five countries, several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and wonderful scenic, cultural, rural and culinary experiences too numerous to count!
Edition Features 4 Additional New Destinations and Cruise Specials
Country Travel DISCOVERIES is pleased to announce the mailing of the Expanded Winter Edition of our 2015 Travel Discoveries Catalog -- now including 6 classic tours introduced for 2015 and 4 just-added "Get Active tours". These exciting experiences in Ireland, British Columbia, California's Sonoma region, and Wisconsin's Lake Country were newly created at the request of customers seeking a more physically active, experiential form of discovery travel, and will generally be limited to 28 or fewer travelers.
Bonus Savings on TWO Trips of a Lifetime
Country Travel DISCOVERIES' new 2015 Cruise to Discovery Brochure hits homes this week, with special discount pricing on our two land/cruise discovery tours: Alaska & the Yukon and Magical Danube & Prague: President's Charter Cruise. Can't decide which to take? Enjoy our "bucket list bonus" to save even more when you book both tours!
Discovery Director Ann Kaiser on CTD's New "Get Active" Tours
I love to travel, and I’m not one to sit still. Now that I’ve retired from my full-time career as a writer/editor, I have more free time to go. I’ve even taken up tour directing for Elm Grove’s Country Travel DISCOVERIES as a part-time job!
Like me, many CTD travelers are baby boomers who want to make the most of every day on a tour. They’re active, energetic and open to getting up-close-and-personal with people and places along the way.
How about you? Here are some hints for actively enjoying traveling...
