About the Tour

Over six days, we’ll follow in the footsteps of one of America’s most renowned illustrators. Starting from Rockwell’s birthplace in Albany, NY, you’ll journey to the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Mass., additional galleries and sites illuminating his extraordinary life and illustration craft, and the spectacular, open-air Cathedral of the Pines—featuring plaques designed by Rockwell.

En route, you’ll also experience the settings, flavors and people that inspired his iconic slices of American life – and even meet one of his living models! You’ll enjoy New England’s harvest bounty with a slice of pie at Lost Acres Orchard, where over 20 kinds of apples make for amazing pies...and savor Boston’s ethnic background with a lunch stop in the old Italian North End. You'll visit the JFK Presidential Library and see some of Rockwell's famous illustratipns and portraits featuring the president. Tour the famed mansion, The Breakers, spend a nostalgic day in the historic quarters of old Boston, and much more.
